Handmade in 1950. Handmade today.
Parker & Farr has been a master sofa maker for over half a century and is still using the same traditional techniques to the same exacting standards.
Hardwood. No.9 gauge steel coil springs. Wooden dowels. Steel screws. Pure cotton wadding. Jute. Hessian hair. Silk thread.
These materials were used in upholstery making in the last century. And the century before.
Nobody has come up with a better way to make a sofa, so the highly skilled craftsmen at Parker & Farr still use them.
Our sofa’s were placed in their new home today. We are so pleased with the fabric that we chose, but the workmanship of the upholstery is just first class. What clever people you are working there.
